Obki
In Ritzy Animation's first commissioned series, Obki and his trusty sidekick, the Orb, embark on an array of ecological adventures to discover the little ways we can all help our environment.
I textured and look developed the two main characters, Obki, and the Orb. The textures and shaders needed to feel tactile and believable. Obki’s skin needed to feel wet, transparent, and fish-like whereas the Orb needed to feel mechanical, shiny and a little rough around the edges.
This experience has equipped me with the ability to confidently contribute ideas as a part of a small team, creating high-quality work in a short and strict schedule.
As the only environment and prop artist I was responsible for building, sculpting and surfacing the main hero environment and all the other environments Obki visits as well as the hundreds of props used throughout the 16 episodes, all reflecting his personality and charm.
Returning for season 3 as a mid-level artist, I was again responsible for modeling, set dressing, texturing and look dev of all the environments and sets in the show, as well as many of the props and vehicles that appear throughout the 15 new episodes.
